Invention Routes is a documentary that integrates nature and humanity, portrayed in the images captured by Brazilian documentarist Mariana Fagundes. With an intimate and subjective interpretation of indigenous narratives, the film crosses borders offering insights into unique cultures such as the Korubo, a group that remains isolated on the triple border of Brazil, Colombia and Peru; the Guarani Kaiowá, strangled between territories of large cities and agribusiness in central Brazil; and the Yanomami, internationally recognized for fighting against gold miners in the heart of the Amazon Rainforest. A film about encounters between non-indigenous peoples and Amerindian cultures, inviting us to envision a less Cartesian reality, joining memory, the present, and the essence of life itself.
